Casa Rivera Guest Suites
Guests booking either the King or Queen Retreats have private use of the apartments and dedicated parking for one car per unit. Located at the rear of the property, these clean and well-appointed guest suites are accessed through a coded common stairwell door separate from the front house and each unit has its own inner door, also coded. Both apartments are decorated with hand-crafted art and furnishings made by the hosts and are designed to create a harmonious color story and one-of-kind vibe. The backyard includes a semi-private seating nook with propane fire pit that is reserved for the downstairs unit. The upstairs King Retreat features two private decks – one right off the living space also with a fire pit and a view of the surrounding hills of Ballard Canyon. The hosts live in the front house and are available on property when needed.

Sweet King Retreat
The upstairs King Retreat at Casa Rivera is steps from the vibrant Los Olivos wine tasting scene. The 560 sq ft studio is ideal for two people, but can accommodate three between a king bed and a futon-style sleeper sofa. With its open plan format, the king bed is adjacent to a lounge area with a 55” TV so it can be easily viewed anywhere in the space.
The kitchenette has a sink, stove-top, mini-fridge with freezer and is equipped with lots of ways to make coffee. There is also an eight-bottle wine fridge to take care of those treasures you bring home from a day of tasting. The bathroom has a tub/ shower combo and right outside its door is a built-in dresser should you stay more than a couple nights. Off the lounge area is a covered deck with Adirondack chairs, a propane fire pit – a perfect place to watch the sun set over Ballard Canyon.
Sweet Queen Retreat
The Queen Retreat at Casa Rivera is the smaller of our two units. The cozy bi-level space has a queen size bed in the lower bedroom area and raised lounge with a couch to relax and watch TV. The adjacent RV-sized kitchen has a stove top and oven, mini fridge, microwave, toaster and many ways to make coffee just how you like. Non-dairy creamer and half ‘n half are provided by the host. This smartly designed studio is ideal for two people with its dedicated bedroom space, separate raised lounge with kitchen and full-size tub/shower combo bathroom.
Relax in our lush yard under a gorgeous mulberry tree complete with a rustic fairy village. There is a semi-private three-person seating nook complete with a propane fire pit. If scheduling permits, you may request to drop your car off earlier than the check-in time which can be handy in this town with very limited parking.

Welcome to Casa Rivera in Los Olivos. The property has been family-owned for more than 50 years and Bryan spent a good part of his youth growing up here, playing in the creek behind the house and wandering around Los Olivos before it developed into the vibrant wine tasting scene it is now. When Mia and Bryan returned to Los Olivos in the Fall of 2021 and decided to convert the apartments into cozy guest suits, they worked together to create much of the unique art and furnishings featured in each space. Since launching Casa Rivera guest suites in June of 2022, more than 200 guests have come to stay and enjoy the serenity of the property and close proximity to all the town has to offer.
